The 2026 Preview
🍂 Played on the first Saturday of Fall,
The Fall Vintage Classic has grown into a
124-player, full shotgun Persimmon Scramble celebrating the golden era of golf.
Come dressed in your favorite vintage golf attire, swing persimmon woods (borrow a set if you need one we’ve got right and left-handed clubs available), and enjoy a day built around great golf, great people, and timeless traditions. Modern irons are welcome, but we ask that you leave the metalwoods & UFO 🛸 putters at home.
The day features 9 sponsored prize holes, including a Closest to the Pin Hickory Challenge hosted by Committee Member @misterclean1957, where many players will hit a hickory club for the very first time. Righties and lefties, we’ve got you covered.Your day includes coffee, donuts, live jazz, lunch, incredible prizes, an opportunity drawing featuring vintage heirlooms, new equipment (including a new iron set), three golf bags, & beer and cigar for those who choose to partake.
Golfers of all ages, skill levels, and handicaps are welcome. About The Tournament
Every autumn, golfers gather at Meadowlark Golf Club in Huntington Beach to celebrate the golden era of the game.
The Fall Vintage Classic is more than a tournament it’s a community tradition that brings together players, collectors,
and enthusiasts who share a love for persimmon woods, blade irons, and vintage golf style.
Founded in 1922, Meadowlark is one of Orange County’s oldest courses, and its rolling fairways, classic layout, and timeless charm provide the perfect arena to host an event dedicated to persimmon woods and vintage-inspired golf culture.

The Fall Vintage Classic unfolds in a shotgun format, creating a lively community atmosphere across the course. Players receive check-in bags with food and drink tickets, cigars, opportunity drawing entries,
and sponsor gifts to set the tone for the day.
Those without persimmons can take advantage of on-site fittings for loaner clubs provided free by the tournament, while everyone is encouraged to dress the part for the Best Dressed Competition, offering over $500 in prizes.
The day also features an opportunity drawing and live auction with golf gear and sponsor-donated items, adding even more excitement to the classic tournament experience.
